DURABINS and TRANSITANKS are available with a variety of inlets and vents to match the duty required of them. They can be tailored to a customers exact needs and include company or product name or logo moulded into the body of the container or mould-in graphics applied.

Lids

1. 1 metre (40") diameter drop on lid gives full access and easy filling.

2. 45Omm (18") diameter drop over dust cover lid, a simple low cost option for applications where a leakproof seal is not required

3. 250mm (10") diameter screwed plug lid

4. 350mm diameter GRPP screw lid with captive gasket, this larger diameter opening allows for easy filling

5.150mm (6") diameter GRPP screw Iid with captive gasket far leakproof sealing

6. 450mm or 585mm (18" or 23") diameter Polyethylene drop on lid with lever action closing ring gives good access for inspection and cleaning Valves - for Solids

Valves - for solids

1. 2OOmm/3OOmm (8"/12") diameter cast Aluminium single flange slide valve with Stainless Steel slide plate, robust design and build, suitable for open discharge applications.

2. 25Omm (10" diameter conical closure with plug and sleeve. This injection moulded Polyethylene housing is clamped to the DURABIN body and incorporates a choice of either layflat Polyethylene sleeve or a more durable, easy to change, polypropylene sleeve with drawstring which gives the facility to shut off the flow.

3. Vacuum take oft cone for direct connection to a vacuum discharge system.

4. 2OOmm/3OOmm (8"/12") diameter cost Aluminium double flange slide valve with Stainless Steel plate for open or sealed discharge applications.

5. Tapered cone to seal 2OOmm/3OOmm (8"/12") round slide valves to a discharge station.

6. 200mm (8") diameter Mucon Iris diaphragm valve provides improved flow control and seal, offers the ability to meter out small quantities of product by manual operation of the discharge valve.

7. 350mrn (14") square cast Aluminium slide valve with Stainless Steel slide plate allows connection to remotely operated systems.

Note: Valves are a significant cost element in DURABINS. If control is only rarely required we suggest DURABINS fitted with conical closures. A converter (ref. CCCON) can be supplied with a slide or iris valve when control is required.

Valves - for Liquids

1. 25/38/50mm (1"/1.5"/2") PVC or PP ball valves. Simple and reliable design providing quick operating action and full bore flow characteristics.

2. 38/5Omm (1.5"/2") GRPP ball valves with lockable handles and optional integral camlock outlet. The GRPP material offers improved chemical and impact resistance compared to PVC.

3. Camlock adapters and caps for easy and rapid coupling.

4. 35/50mm (1.5"/2") brass gate valve for use in heavy duty applications.

Vents

1. 450mm (18") Polyethylene lid with integral vent.

2. Pressure relief vent prevents a possible build-up in the container when filling. Or vacuum vent eliminates the risk of vacuum distortion of the container when discharging.

3. 38mm (1.5") polyethylene filler vent with screwed cap allows access for filling, dipping or sampling.

Frames

• Painted or galvanised Mild Steel section mainly 50x50x3 RHS.
• Available in a wide range of colours.
• Aluminium, stainless steel or fully welded frames are also available.
• Frames can be fitted with castors; lifting lugs; four-way entry fork loops or two-way fork channels; bin card holders.
• Stackable to four high. Inter-stackability with other bins.
• Special valve side plates for remote operation.
• Coding bar system to prevent cross contamination of different products
• Sequential numbering systems.
• Frame walk way to assist 'on-vehicle' filling (see photo left)

Bodies

• Food grade linear Polyethylene, 6mm standard wall thickness are already thicker than our competitors and heavier wall thicknesses are available if required.

• 30/35/45/60 degree angle discharge cones are available to suit the flow characteristics of the product being handled.

• Available in a wide range of colours including specials to match the colour of contents and semi-translucent natural allows level sighting.

• A company or product name or logo can be moulded into the body or mould-in graphics applied.
